Bio Rhythms

I remember the first time I heard the term bio rhythms.  A co-worker used it to describe a time where he was “on top of his game.”  I liked the way it sounded so it stuck with me.  Technically it’s a mathematical theory to explain your highs and lows in a rhythm cycle.  My mom would say, “some days you got it, and some days you don’t.”

You know the days.  There are some days that with little to no effort, you look amazing.  Your skin is perfect and glowing.  Your smile twinkles like the stars. Your magnetism is compelling.  The opposite is also true.  Some days, you don’t got it. (lol)  You repel people and are best tucked away in a cave.

If at full capacity, I’m my sharpest mentally and physically  mid morning. I find myself most euphoric during a full moon.  Its like I’m full of creativity and anticipation.  I have a season where I’m pretty much on top, and it’s the weeks leading up to my birthday.

If only we could harness the high tides, and control our max outputs and shines.  I agree with my mom.  There are just days that my soul rivals the sun.  Then there are all the other days.  It seems to be completely random.  Or I’ve not yet conquered the equation to it.  There are always controlled inputs like hydration, exercise and rest.  However, I’m talking about the magic with no effort.  The “mystery of youth”, or “the vitality of the vigilant.”

Don’t believe me?  Take a photo of yourself every day for 90 days.  Take one at the beginning of your day, and one before you go to bed.  Some days you’ll just absolutely look like a rockstar, and the next day, you’ll look like Meh…

Fortunately, we are the same wonderful person regardless of how we feel.  It helps to remind myself of this on days that I’d care not to repeat.  One thing that I do love about photography is that the 1000 words the pictures are describing or narrating  are the emotions behind the images.  Each day social media and my cloud remind me of my highs and lows.  They remind me of when I did what was great, when I looked great, and every other day.

Some days you must give thanks for  the “don’t got it” days.  They make the ones that you rival the sunshine so much brighter.

On this day, everything was business as usual. Meetings, Events, and Mortgages.  When I looked back on the day, I lit up the day and night inside of me and quite visible to others.  I felt great, and looked pretty snazzy as well.  What I now understand about my bio rhythms is that I get to love myself at a constant no matter what vibe or  frequency I’m able to deliver.  For getting to know myself better, and to love my self better; I give thanks.
