Success leaves Clues
There is a famous quote by Jim Rohn that says, "Success leaves clues."
There are so many analogies I could use with this quote.
It came to mind after a recent social media post I made about some failed business attempts. The intent of that post was to look for opportunities where you least expect them. I used some recent outcomes of real estate transactions as an example to how when we knock on doors that don't open, there is always a window.
After having reread the post, I thought, maybe this was TMI (too much information)
I'm fine with sharing " receipts "when appropriate, but I typically keep current and future plans to myself.
Those who are jealous of us know our potential and can see the success we experience.
"We all know people hate you because you try, and they'll also hate you the more when you die."
Others can't see your vision. When they hate on you, do you dim your light or hide your process?
I think not. Everything that grows, grows in the light, bright plain site. Construction sites are highly visible and noisy.
I do however understand the fear and hesitation. Especially from those who are closest to you. There is nothing like the blinding light and fire of progress and improvement that sows seeds of jealousy, resentment, and bitterness. It's like your progress vexes people in their soul.
When your life is rapidly evolving, you find yourself having past tense conversations with acquaintances and followers.
Not because you are hiding, because you are being guarded and cautious. They are literally behind you, and you are progressing forward. Some of them are behind you in the most sincere good (distant) way. Others are assigned southern perimeter boundary coordinates in your life. They have your back...way back.
You'll notice when you start to say"I did this." " I thought that. "
It always feels like a sky level catch up highlight reel.
You can always tell the priority of your relationships by the tense in which you share your life. I am this or that. These people are WITH you, because they are FOR you. They are present.
The closest relationships get the intimacy of future plans. I'm working on this or I'm planning that.
Here is the thing with intimacy, it comes with a high cost. Can you trust the audience? Will you be exploited or manipulated by divulging your plans?
If your life's work is to encourage, you must do so in bright light plain site. You must build at every assigned and aligned coordinate. YOU MIST LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE. There is always going to be the vulnerability consequence of transparency. Authenticity can only transmit via transparency. You can never guard your divine gifts and talents AND share them freely. They aren't yours anyway. They are bestowed upon us from the creator to share.
The Bible says" gifts come without repentence." (Roman's 11:29) That is how extraordinary they are. That is how extraordinary YOU are.
You can hide all you want to, but your little light will shine because success leaves clues.
So the next time you share or possibly "over share", consider your intent. Are you seeking to boast, inform, or encourage?
Boasting for vanity of course is not good. However sharing from experience to inform and to encourage is ALWAYS a beneficial thing. Share with intention. Haters will always HATE. So give them a reason.😊
I submit that it is by example, transparency, and analogies, that we are best able to give bits of our lived success to others. One would only need to pay attention to see the clues of favor and success in other's lives. It's like a city set upon a hill, the light can't be hidden.
, nor should it. (Imho)
If you have something to share, share it open heartedly, and honestly. Your future self may thank you as you unlock and unfold all that is to come.
Live bold. Share your light and growth, we can see it anyways.
Abundance Always.
