Figuring it Out

Deductive reasoning and actually knowing are 2 different things. I'm back in school and doing well in my classes, but I feel a lot of that is because of my ability to deduce what the answer should be and not because I actually know what they are. It's like making an educated guess based on experience and logical common sense.
Common Sense is  a very important  part of the learning process. But at some point in time you really do have to know the material and master the information.

I was thinking about life and how we develop deductive reasoning skills. I think that deductive reasoning is It's like making assumptions.  Assumptions are very helpful and an important part of manifesting.   It is believing that things are as we intend them to be.  Manifestation is powerful.  it is literally imposing your will upon your environment and creating that reality. It is Influencing  your will upon others  by transference  of energy.
However,  it is still not having clarity. It is still ambiguity.
It is hope and faith, not certainty. We don't know that things will work out as we intend, or that others will participate in our plans.
Assumptions are dangerous because the other side of the coin is the exact opposite. Some people will never  see things the way that you see things.
When when we assume things that are not in fact, the actual reality. Things fall apart. When we do not have a good understanding of what the actual truth or clarity of a process,  safety can be compromised.  Relationships break because people assume their partner is willing to accept or continue under the past or current mode of operation.

I was recently reading Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. In this book he talks about mastery. And that's when a person spends more than 10,000 hours mastering a skill or subject.
The difference between assumption  and mastering is confidence and discipline. I think that sometimes common sense or that deductive reasoning is intuitive and we learn how to build upon that intuition. The difference between failing and flaking your way through life and actually knowing how to succeed and create wins is where repetition  evolves to mastery. It is understanding the skill or subject, to the point of being able to teach it to others. (Duplication) Knowing the who, what, when, where, and why a thing works is about the discipline of mastery.

Discipline is a word humans often avoid.
Repetition is a word that we easily adopt.
For me, it comes down to my level of interest and the value I assign to the activity.

Nir Eyal talks about identity pacts in his book Indistractable. People do things based on who they are. He references smokers identifying as someone who smokes. A non smoker would never light a cigarette because they are not a smoker, and that is unhealthy. The same with vegans. They tell you it is who they are, and therefore it is how they eat.

When we value and prioritize our goals, we turn repetition into discipline. Repeat Discipline becomes mastery.

So this is me. Going back to school, surface studying my way past assumption into the discipline of studying for comprehension. Because getting this degree is personal and important to me.

So this is me. Going back to the gym repeatedly, drinking more water, and reading more books. Because being healthy and expanding my perspective is my priority.

So this is me. Writing this blog for 10 months. Sharing the message of following my bliss and my process of manufacturing joy in my life.

One day, I'll have a new set of 10, 000 hours in writing, speaking, passive income, and manufacturing  joy against all odds
One day, I'll know these fruits of labor for this life I am intentionally manifesting.

Until then, I'll keep repeatedly, figuring it out in gratitude.
